The coast either side of Albufeira is riddled with small sea caves that no tour boat can enter — low arches, narrow slots, a couple of collapsed roofs open to the sky. A kayak fits where a boat does not, and most tours leave straight from the town beaches, so there is no drive. No experience is needed: the guides brief you on the sand and paddle with you. Trips to the Benagil cave are also listed here, but note they start at Benagil beach itself, a good 25 km west.
